Group Use
Our vehicles are available to registered member groups for official group activities either on a self drive basis or with a driver. All voluntary, community or statutory organisations based in Waltham Forest can join Community Transport Waltham Forest. Joining is easy - ring us, pop in for an application pack, enquire online or download our membership form, booking procedures, notes for drivers and accident procedures.
Annual Membership fees for the year April 2011 - March 2012:
There is an annual subscription to Community Transport Waltham Forest renewable in April every year.
£20.00 per year for groups with an income of LESS than £5,000 per year
£38.50 per year for groups with an income of MORE than £5,000 per year
£55.00 per year for local education authority schools for non-statutory trips
£130.00 per year for statutory organisations (Council, Health Services etc)
Who can drive our vehicles?
Our conditions of use require that all drivers using our vehicles must hold a full, current, clean British driving licence with D1 entitlement and a valid MiDAS certificate. The MiDAS certificate is a nationally recognised standard for driving minibuses and is valid for 4 years. If required, we provide the MiDAS training in-house at our Community Driving School. Copies of driver licences are kept on record and are subject to regular checks.
Drivers must:
- have held their licence for 2 years or more
- must be over 21 years and less than 70 years (drivers between 21 - 25 years incur additional insurance excess charges)
- only drive if covered by our insurance and authorised by CTWF
Our drivers
We offer a limited service providing drivers to groups. Our drivers have been MiDAS trained, are covered by our insurance and are cleared through an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check. New drivers are to be registered on the new national Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) database.

Cancellation Charge
There is no charge if we receive at least 24 hours notice of cancellation of a vehicle booking. If a booking is cancelled within 24 hours, we will charge you £10. Where a booking has been made and not cancelled, and the vehicle is not used, the charge as per session will apply.
Cleaning Charge
If a vehicle is returned with a dirty or littered interior, a charge of £10 - £100 will be made. These charges are easily avoided by keeping the interior clean and by observing the no smoking, drinking, eating or chewing gum rules.
