Door to Store Shopping Service and Hub Travel Club

The Door to Store service is offered in partnership with Shopmobility Waltham Forest and Waltham Forest Adult and Community Services to provide a safe, reliable and accessible door to door transport service for older and disabled people to shops and supermarkets in and around Waltham Forest.

How to book your shopping trip

Look at the timetable and decide on the date and time you wish to go shopping. Phone the booking line on 020 8509 7666 between 8.30am and 10.30am Monday to Friday. A trip can be booked up to a fortnight in advance. Seats are allocated on a first come first serve basis. A small charge of £3 is payable to the driver per return trip.

Please note:

The Door to Store service is a transport only service and cannot provide an assistant to help with shopping, but you can book a place for your own helper on the minibus if need be. Supermarkets can often provide a member of staff to assist you but this would have to be arranged in advance.

Hub Travel Club

The Hub Travel Club Service  is specifically aimed at individuals with mobility

problems who find it difficult to use public transport wishing to access  the wide range of services at the Waltham Forest Resource Centre South, 90 Crownfield Road London E15 2BG.

The service is run on a fully accessible  minibus with tail lift catering for wheelchair users and individuals who struggle with steps.

The Hub Travel Club Service is a transport only service and cannot provide a helper but you can book a place on the service for your own helper at no charge.

The service is run on a timetable and places on the service need to be booked at least 24 hours in advance of the day of travel. A charge of £1.50 will apply each way. (£3 door to door)

In order to use the service individuals need to register as a travel club member, registration forms have been distributed to all services in the Hub alternatively ring us on 020 8521 0665 for a form.

How do I book my seat?

  • Once we have received your booking form  and confirmed your registration you can book a place on the bus up to two weeks in advance using the telephone number below.
  • Bookings for the service will take place between 9am –11am Monday to Friday  only.
  • Seats are allocated on a first come first served basis.

  • What service do you wish to book for ?
  • Which dates you wish to travel and times of service attending at the Hub and return time?
  • Are you a wheelchair user  or any other specialist requirements?
